Visa
Conference participants who are not EU citizens may require a visa for travel to Magdeburg. Detailed information is given at the webpage of the German Federal Foreign Office. Please contact if you need an invitation letter for a visa application.
Arrival by Plane
Magdeburg is serviced by the airports in Berlin (Tegel and Schönefeld), Hannover and Leipzig (Halle).

Arrival by Train
Visitors coming by train (Deutsche Bahn - DB) can get off at Magdeburg-Hauptbahnhof.
After coming out of the station from the main entrance, cross the street with the tram tracks, and turn left up to the main street. Turn right and across the junction you find the tram stop "City Carré". There, you catch tram number 1 in the direction of "Lerchenwuhne" or number 8 in the direction of "Neustädter See". Get off at the stop "Universität". Cross the street, on the right, in the direction of the train, and walk straight to reach the university campus.
